Guess what…

YOUR MOM’S A ROBOT.  Okay, not really.  Stop freaking out.

I know I suck this week, but today was a really busy one so I’m going to pull a total punk-out and only post 2 songs.  Well, videos really.  And this week, they both come from 2 crazy ladies you can’t help but love.

1.  I Am Not A Robot by Marina and the Diamonds.  At first, I wasn’t a huge fan of this song.  But I have become semi-obsessed with the video.  I’m seriously considering coating my lips in red and white rhinestones for New Year’s Eve to see what kind of response I can generate.  Marina’s Diamonds aren’t actually a band - it’s merely a play on her last name, Diamandis.  Her Crowned Jewels EP was released in June with this song, Simplify, and Seventeen as the singles.  A re-recording of Mowgli’s Road, her 1st major label single, will be released here in the U.S. on November 16th.  Her very 1st album, Family Jewels, is scheduled for release on 2/22/10.  I haven’t had a chance to listen to any of the other above mentioned singles, so if you check them out, let me know what you think of Marina on the whole.  Shout-out to Swirley for this one.

2.  Bad Romance by Lady Gaga.  In this video, Gaga sports the over-the-top shoes in Alexander McQueen’s spring line.  Nuff said.  This one is courtesy of Mags.

Not your typical NMW alternative rock songs, but so out of the ordinary I couldn’t help but plug these vids.

Rock on, peeps.
