Why are you running away??!?
Okay, this week I have no new music. However, what I will do is tell you about three bands that are unknown that need more credit. Enjoy
Band 1- Klaxons
This band is awesome, nothing more can be said…but i will. There only album, Myths of the Near Future, released in 2007, is a mix of electronic alternative arrangements which will make you think that MGMT stole their sound. Check out Golden Skans and It’s Not Over Yet. But as I always say, check out the whole album because it is quite good.
Band 2-Archie Bronson Outfit
Archie Bronson is an interesting character. He rarely performs live and he rarely releases albums. The band has been together for 10 years and have released 2 albums. They’ve had success in England topping albums from Cat Power and Sonic Youth. Their last album Derdang Derdang, is superb. Hot songs on there are Dart for My Sweetheart, Kink, and Jab Jab.
Band 3- American Minor
This band has put out on album and it is probably one of my top five albums I have. There is not a bad song on their self-titled album. This band has opened for Lynard Skynard multiple times, so you know what kind of music they play: Hard Southern Rock. The guitarist can wail on the guitar and the singer’s voice is timeless. They can turn it up on songs like Buffalo Creek and Walk On or they can make a sweet depressing songs about race and suicide like on One Last Supper and Sleep Walking. Out of all the bands I have mentioned on all my posts this is by far the best one, even better than Them Crooked Vultures or Blakroc. Buy it for Christmas or whatever, a must buy.
