New Music From Older Bands
So i am going to bring up some new music from some of my favorite bands that i discovered from Lollapalooza.
First- Cold War Kids- They released an EP about a week ago and it is pretty darn good. Songs include Audience of One, Coffee Spoon, and Santa Anta Winds. Now the Cold War Kids often sing about abnormal subjects which makes me love them. They can take such a simple object (Coffee Spoon) and make it into such a sweet little love song driven by piano, Drums and the unique voice of Nathan Willett.
Spoon- Transference
They just released this album this week and it is pretty strong. They got great singles like Got Nuffin and Written in Reverese but some other gems are I Saw the Light and the stripped down Before Destruction
The Mumblers- ITunes Sessions EP
I literally just ran across this band as I was trying to find a third band to talk about. I haven’t listened to this band long but I can already tell that I will love this band to come. They mix soul, church, and alternative music all into one. All the songs on the EP are great to listen to. My 2 favorites are Don’t Throw Me Away and Coffin Factory.
Hope you enjoy my picks and have a great day
